ALUR

Shoot film. Change your mind later.

A camera that develops your photos the way film does — and keeps the negative, so you can pick a different emulsion months after the shot.

The negative is kept

Nothing is baked in

Most camera apps burn the filter into the picture the moment you press the shutter. ALUR doesn't. Every shot stores the untouched negative next to the develop, exactly like a strip of film waiting in a drawer.

Open a photo from last summer, choose another emulsion, and it develops again from the original. As many times as you like, with nothing lost along the way.

Twenty-four emulsions

Each one measured, not guessed

Colour negative, slide, cinema stock and black and white. Every emulsion was built and compared against the others so that no two land in the same place — if two films looked alike, one of them was rewritten.

A real camera

The full sensor, not a preview

ALUR shoots at the resolution your iPhone is capable of — up to 48 megapixels on the rear lenses, the same as the camera that came with the phone. Every lens, every aspect ratio, manual focus and exposure, and a level that tells you when the shot is straight.

Video develops too, in 1080 or 4K, at 30 or 60 frames a second.

Nothing leaves the phone

No accounts. No servers. No tracking.

ALUR has nowhere to send your photos, because there is nowhere to send them to. There are no servers, no sign-up, no analytics and no advertising. The develop happens on the phone in your hand.

Your shots live in ALUR's own roll and go to your photo library only when you ask, one by one. The app never copies anything on its own.
